Communities and moderation
Create an app community and decide how members may post.
Before you start
Select the intended app, obtain Community permission and prepare the public name, description and banner. Decide how you will moderate contributions.
Step by step
- Open Community and choose New Community.
- Fill in the name, description and banner fields.
- Review Active Community, Allow Posts and Require Moderation before Create Community.
- Each community has a card under Community Management: View opens it, Edit changes its settings (Save Changes), Delete removes it.
- Open the public page at
/community/{slug}and confirm what a visitor can see. - With Require Moderation on, new posts wait under Awaiting approval when you View the community (its card shows how many). Approve publishes a post; Reject deletes it. Nothing waiting is shown to your app's users.
- If integrating the community into your app, connect the SDK community UI and its required user authentication separately.
Confirm it worked
The correct community is visible at its intended public URL, and posting/moderation behavior matches the saved settings. A dashboard entry alone does not prove the in-app community is integrated.
Troubleshooting
Check activation, posting settings, member authentication and published content if a community appears empty. Deleting a community can remove important content; do not use deletion to diagnose a visibility issue.
