Privacy Policy for ShiftPilot

alkashier ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through compliance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to the ShiftPilot mobile application (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the App.

1. Overview and Scope

ShiftPilot is designed to help users organize schedules and estimate earnings. The App operates primarily by storing shift schedules and monetary estimates locally on your device. ShiftPilot does not create public user profiles, host user-generated content, or perform payroll processing, employment advisory services, tax calculation services, or legal labor-law compliance guarantees. All calculations and estimations provided by the App are strictly for informational and individual planning purposes.

2. Data Collection and Processing

H3: A. Information Stored Locally

The primary features of ShiftPilot store your input data—such as shift hours, wages, custom schedules, and notes—locally on your mobile device. We do not transmit or store your schedules or shift estimates on external server infrastructure owned or operated by alkashier.

H3: B. Automatically Collected Data & Platform Integration

Depending on your device settings, permissions, and consent choices, third-party framework services integrated into the App may automatically collect specific technical and usage data, including:

  • Device Identifiers: Mobile advertising identifiers such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Google's Android Advertising ID (GAID).
  • Network & Technical Information: IP address, mobile operating system type and version, device brand and model, language preferences, and network state.
  • Location Information: Coarse or approximate geographic location derived from your IP address.
  • App Interaction Data: Data regarding ad displays, ad clicks, performance logs, diagnostic reports, and in-app purchase validation data processed via standard Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing APIs.

3. Advertising and Third-Party Advertising Partners

This App displays third-party advertisements served by Google AdMob ("AdMob"), an advertising network service provided by Google LLC.

To serve advertisements within ShiftPilot, Google AdMob and its certified third-party ad partners collect and process mobile advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA), IP addresses, approximate geographic location data, and ad interaction logs. This information is utilized to serve ads, evaluate ad performance, prevent ad fraud, and facilitate ad personalization.

H3: A. European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland Consent Framework

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, your consent is requested before any personalized advertising is served. Consent requests are presented through Google's IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF)-certified consent management provider (CMP).

You have the right to adjust, customize, or withdraw your consent at any time by navigating to the Privacy & Ad Settings menu within the App.

H3: B. Device Settings for Advertising Identifiers

You can reset, limit, or erase your mobile advertising identifier at any time using your smartphone's operating system settings:

  • iOS / iPadOS: Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or control app-specific tracking permissions.
  • Android: Open Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Settings > Google > Ads) and select "Reset advertising ID" or "Delete advertising ID".

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your locally stored schedule data. However, for an ad-supported app, operational technical data and device identifiers are transmitted to third-party ad networks (specifically Google AdMob and its certified ad vendor partners) to manage, target, deliver, and audit advertising content, as well as to process optional in-app purchases through official app store payment processing APIs.

We may also disclose personal information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

5. Local Data Control & Data Deletion Requests

H3: A. Clearing Local App Data

Because your schedules and shift records remain on your local storage, you can erase all local data directly at any time via the Settings section inside the App, or by clearing app storage/uninstalling the App from your device settings.

H3: B. Data Deletion Requests

If you wish to submit a formal request to delete any personal information, technical records, or ad-consent identifiers that may be processed by us or our service providers, you may use our dedicated portal or contact us directly:

Upon receiving a verifiable request, we will take reasonable steps to fulfill or confirm the deletion of target data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA Notice)

This section applies solely to residents of the State of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").

H3: A. Disclosure Regarding "Sale" or "Sharing" of Personal Information

Under the broad definitions of the CCPA/CPRA, sharing online identifiers, advertising IDs, IP addresses, and usage data with third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob) for cross-context behavioral advertising MAY CONSTITUTE a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

We disclose the following categories of data for cross-context behavioral advertising:

  • Identifiers (IP address, Apple IDFA, Android Advertising ID).
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information (ad interaction and app diagnostic data).
  • Inferred geolocation data (approximate location based on IP address).

H3: B. Your Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

California consumers have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise your opt-out rights by:

  1. Adjusting your privacy choices within the App's Privacy/Consent settings.
  2. Disabling cross-app tracking or resetting your Advertising ID within your iOS or Android device settings.
  3. Submitting an opt-out request through our Data Deletion & Privacy Request Page or emailing our support page (https://smartlinks.live/app/shiftpilot/support).

We do not discriminate against users for exercising their CCPA/CPRA privacy rights.

7. European Union & UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you reside in the EEA or UK, you possess specific data protection rights under the GDPR. These include:

  • Right of Access & Portability: Request confirmation of processing and copies of processed data.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request the removal of your personal data.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Revoke consent previously granted for ad personalization or telemetry at any time via App settings.

8. Children's Privacy

ShiftPilot is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we will take prompt steps to delete such data.

9. Amendments to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
