Privacy Policy for NotaryDesk

Effective Date: August 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how alkashier ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, NotaryDesk (the "App").

1. Important Regulatory & Scope Disclaimers

NotaryDesk is an administrative organizational tool designed for independent notaries. Please be advised of the following important limitations regarding our services:

  • Not a Statutory Notarial Journal: NotaryDesk does not serve as, replace, or substitute official or statutory notary journals required by law or local regulation.
  • Not a Legal Service or Identity Verification Provider: We do not provide legal advice, legal services, statutory identity verification, or credential analysis.
  • Compliance Responsibility: Users remain strictly responsible for maintaining compliance with local, state, national, and legal requirements applicable to their notarial practice.
  • User-Generated Content: The App does not host, broadcast, or allow public sharing of user-generated content.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information in connection with the operation of NotaryDesk:

A. Account and Administrative Data

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, such as your contact details, subscription preferences, or communications sent to our support team.

B. Local Administrative Data

Information created, entered, or managed within the App for administrative organization is primarily stored locally on your device. You may manage or clear your local application data at any time via the internal Settings page of the App.

C. In-App Purchases and Transactions

If you make purchases or subscribe within the App, payment processing is handled securely by the respective app platform store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect or store full credit card numbers or financial account credentials.

D. Device and Diagnostic Data

We may collect technical telemetry, device descriptors, operating system details, crash logs, and performance metrics to help maintain app stability and improve performance.

3. Advertising and Third-Party Advertising Partners

NotaryDesk is supported by advertising delivered through third-party services, specifically Google AdMob.

A. Data Collected by Google AdMob and Certified Partners

Google AdMob and its certified advertising partners may automatically collect and process certain data from your device, including:

  • Mobile Advertising Identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA).
  • IP address and approximate geographic location derived from IP address.
  • Ad interaction data (e.g., ads viewed, clicked, impression frequency, and interaction duration).
  • Diagnostic metrics regarding app installation and ad performance.

B. Consent Management in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, personalized advertising is served only after obtaining your explicit consent via Google's IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF)-certified consent management provider.

You have the right to modify or withdraw your advertising consent at any time directly through the Privacy Options available within the App settings.

C. Managing and Resetting Mobile Advertising Identifiers

You can control personalized advertising and reset or delete your advertising identifier at the system level of your mobile device:

  • Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads, then select Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
  • iOS / iPadOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disable Allow Apps to Request to Track or toggle off permissions specifically for NotaryDesk.

4. Data Deletion Requests

We provide clear mechanisms for users to request the deletion of their personal information and account data:

  • Online Deletion Page: You can submit a deletion request by following the step-by-step instructions at: https://smartlinks.live/legal/notarydesk/data-deletion.
  • Email Request: You may submit a formal request for data deletion by contacting our privacy team at our support page (https://smartlinks.live/app/notarydesk/support).
  • Local Application Data: You may clear locally stored application data directly on your device through the App's internal Settings page.

5. European Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Under European privacy laws, individuals residing in the EEA or UK possess specific rights regarding their personal data, including the right to access, rectify, restrict, erase, or object to processing, as well as the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

6. California Consumer Privacy Statement (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents are provided specific disclosures and privacy rights:

A. Categories of Data Disclosed for Business Purposes

We may share identifiers, device information, internet/network activity, and commercial information with service providers and advertising networks to operate, support, and monetize the App.

B. Sale and Sharing Disclosure

Because NotaryDesk utilizes third-party advertising services (Google AdMob), disclosing advertising identifiers, IP addresses, and app usage data to advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.

C. Right to Opt-Out

You have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this right by opting out via the in-app privacy controls or by disabling ad tracking within your device settings as described in Section 3.

7. Children's Privacy

NotaryDesk is designed exclusively for adult professionals and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take prompt steps to delete such data.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no electronic storage or internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

9. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or App functionality. The revised version will be published within the App or via our legal pages with an updated "Effective Date".
