Terms and Conditions (Terms of Service)

Welcome to Stocks (the "App"), operated by Amr Saied ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Stocks application available at https://smartlinks.live/app/stocks, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. User Accounts and Data Storage

The App primarily operates by storing your portfolio holdings (ticker, quantity, average price, purchase date, currency), watchlists, alerts, and research notes locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the data stored within the App.

When you utilize specific optional features, data is transmitted to third-party providers as follows:

• AI Portfolio Analysis: When requested, only your ticker, quantity, average price, currency, and any free-form prompts are transmitted to SmartLinks AI Gateway and the configured AI provider. Purchase dates, local IDs, and notes are strictly excluded from transmission.
• Analytics & Infrastructure: SmartLinks processes a pseudonymous user ID, attribution/deep-link data, and in-app event metrics (searches, tickers, screen views, settings, purchases, and AI status/latency). Google Firebase Analytics processes installation IDs and usage events. Google Firebase Crashlytics retains crash traces, device/app/OS details, and diagnostic logs for up to 90 days.
• Subscriptions & Billing: Subscription verification is processed via Apple App Store (Apple receipts/JWS) or Google Play Store (purchase tokens) alongside pseudonymous attribution IDs. Stocks never collects, stores, or receives card or bank details.
• Market Data: Yahoo Finance receives stock searches, symbols, and network requests to fulfill real-time/delayed quote and news requests.
• Feedback Submissions: Optional user feedback transmits your message, platform, app version, premium status, and optional name, email, or image.

2. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Android version is supported by third-party advertising served by Google AdMob and its partners. On Android, Google AdMob and Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) may collect or share advertising IDs, device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad and product interactions, performance, and diagnostics for ad targeting, analytics, consent management, security, and fraud prevention. The iOS and iPadOS version does not display ads, request IDFA, or use data for cross-app tracking.

On Android, where required by applicable law, you may manage your advertising consent and privacy choices within the App settings. We are not responsible for the content of any third-party advertisements displayed, nor do we endorse or assume liability for any third-party products, services, or websites accessed through such advertisements.

3. Financial Disclaimer (No Investment Advice)

The App presents market, financial, price data, and AI-generated analytical commentary for informational and tracking purposes only.

The App does NOT constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. We are not a registered broker-dealer, financial planner, or investment advisor. All data, market quotes, news, and AI portfolio insights are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. You assume sole responsibility for evaluating the merits and risks associated with any investment decisions. Always consult with a qualified financial advisor before executing financial transactions.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All right, title, and interest in and to the App (excluding user-generated notes and locally stored holdings data), including software, design, logos, trademarks, code, and proprietary algorithms, are owned by Amr Saied or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code of the App.
• Using automated systems, scrapers, or bots to access or extract data from the App or connected services.
• Using the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Attempting to interfere with, compromise the system integrity of, or decipher any transmissions to or from the SmartLinks AI Gateway, Firebase, or other servers.
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with any entity when submitting feedback.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains stored on your device until you manually delete it, clear the App data, or uninstall the App. Crash logs processed by Firebase Crashlytics are retained for 90 days before deletion begins. Server logs and records are retained only as long as necessary for service delivery, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. Verified user requests for deletion will be processed within thirty (30) days unless retention is explicitly required by applicable law. All data transmitted between the App and third-party services is encrypted in transit.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Amr Saied, SmartLinks, or their affiliates, officers, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues (whether incurred directly or indirectly), or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or financial losses resulting from:

• Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the App.
• Any market inaccuracies, delay in financial quotes, or errors in AI portfolio analysis.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on or accessed through the App, including third-party advertisements.
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

8. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof shall first be settled through good-faith informal negotiation. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Egypt.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted at https://smartlinks.live/app/stocks with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
